Visual Art is a form of communication that transcends verbal language.

As the smallest word may have such as power as the longest speech, thus a small work of Art may have a great impact on the observer.

The MINIARTE INTERNATIONAL PROJECT was created in 2003 by Brazilian artist CLARA PECHANSKY* aiming to show, in small formats, a panorama of visual arts in several regions of the world.

Aims of the Project

There is no selection of works: for each edition, new rules are published. Each artist must create a work in pre-stablished dimensions. With an equal space for all participants, and showing works in alphabethical order, Miniarte offers a democratic opportunity for the artists. This way of showing allows the connection of a diversity of cultural influences without loosing the individuality of each creator.
